Tembela Wines

Tembela Wines, a tribute to winemakers Banele Vakela mother, celebrates his love and passion for his life’s journey.

Banele, born in the Eastern Cape, grew up in Khayelitsha and completed his B. Agric degree in 2015 before joining the Cape Winemakers Guild Protégé Programme in 2016.

After traveling to Australia to further his studies in wine making, Banele returned home where he is now the assistant winemaker for Savage Wines.
